Ex. Works Rally A1, equipped with 5-cylinder 2120cc Audi 10 valve turbo engine, power approx. 350 hp, torque approx. 450 Nm, permanent 4wd, registration number LYV 6X, number built 62, of which approx. 32 units are still in circulation, originally delivered in German, registration IN-NJ-10, after which registered in 1982 by Ltd. in Uk with current registration, full documentation and history available, Including registration documents. One of the rarest and most authentic Ex-works Audi Sport rally cars in the world.
History
This Audi Quattro Group B is one of only 62 long-wheelbase A1-works cars built by Audi Sport Ingolstadt.
Registration: LYV 6X, chassis number 85A09000XX, engine shell R33, German registration IN-NJ 10.
• Built in 1981 as part of the iconic IN-NJ 10 series.
• Delivered to Audi Sport UK in 1982, managed by David Sutton Motorsport.
• Used as a rally, test and reconnaissance car.
• Entered by Sahid Al Hajari in the Middle East Rally Championship in the late 80s.
• Then sold to a collector in the Philippines.
• Returned to the UK in 1995 and fully restored to original A1-works specification for three years.
• Since 2003 in the Netherlands as part of a small private collection of original Audi works cars.
• The car has been used occasionally for demonstrations, including the Eifel Rally and the Zuiderzee Rally.
Documentation is extremely extensive: UK registration papers (V5C), purchase invoices, export documentation, restoration reports, MOT certificates and correspondence from multiple countries.
