Description
German cello (size 4/4) made by Eugen Wahl (1910).
Tagged "Eugen Wahl fec. Karlsruhe, B. 1910" and branded with the initials "EW" at the bottom of the neck.
Dark brown in color, LOB 768mm.
Instrument is in very good condition. No cracks present. Some scratches in the varnish layer, but given the age this is normal. Will be shipped in a wooden case (Azure Blue).
Instrument was purchased in 1987 for 9400 DEM (+/- 4,800€). Original proof of purchase is present.
In 2018, the cello was orally valued by a Belgian violin maker at €9,500.
