Since then he has lived in Canada, the Netherlands and Italy. What is special about his work is the use of classic works of art that Kooiman processes into typical pop art images. Of course, elements from the more recent and contemporary consumer culture are also present. With his work, Kooiman wants to criticize contemporary male-female relations and the decline of culture in the face of capitalism.
