Description
In flawless it says, never framed before, always kept in the graphic folder - Attached: accompanying text on a separate sheet - Belgian artist and art historian. From the 1960s onwards, he developed his own visual language, first influenced by pop art, later known for his hyper-realistic depictions. He participated in the Venice Biennale (1976) and Documenta IX (1992).
In addition to his artistic practice, he was an internationally recognized Ensor specialist and published leading research on his technique and oeuvre. His work can be found in the S.M.A.K. Ghent and the RMFAB, among others.
