About this lot

Publisher: Amsterdam Art Centre b.v. - Print: printed in the studio of master printer Piet Clement, Amsterdam - Luc Claus was a draughtsman and graphic artist who usually worked on paper. With flowing and moving lines, he created anthropomorphic figures. They are archetypes: it was not the human head in itself that was important, but the head as a form; the head almost as an object and no longer as a subject. His work throughout decades of his artistic career consists of autonomous drawings and graphic work in the drypoint technique in which the drawing is scratched directly into the metal plate and then printed.
