Description
Equipped with: conventional lathe from around 1965-1975 with a turning diameter of 550 mm, distance between centers up to 2 m, 11-1000 rpm via gearbox, 7.5 kW motor and ± 2.5 ton weight, imported by R.S. Stokvis & Zonen N.V.
The Jones & Lamson Progress is a heavy industrial lathe from around 1955–1970 with a turning length of 2–3 metres, turning diameter above bed of 500–600 mm, turning diameter above carriage of approximately 300 mm, spindle bore of 60–80 mm, speed range of 20–1,000 rpm via gearbox, 3-phase electric motor of 7.5–11 kW (10–15 hp), Mechanical longitudinal and transverse feed with speed control, bed width of approx. 400–450 mm and a total weight of approx. 3,500–4,500 kg.
