Original large work - framed - Flaure is a French painter, attached to the École de Paris, of which she is one of the last jewels, by her training, her artistic milieu, her themes and her dedication to figuration, and finally by her pictorial technique, which in her early years was reminiscent of that of Utrillo, Oguiss and Verdier, and her largely Parisian inspiration. She achieved a certain success at a very young age, winning the prize of the Salon des femmes peintres in 1965, the Mouffetard prize in 1966 (jury with Laprade, Chapelain-Midy and Belloni, among others), in 1974 that of the populist salon, and many other prizes, mentions and medals. The city of Paris bought two of her works (Place Fürstenberg, Les clochards de Saint-Séverin), but also the cities of Juvisy in Essonne (Sous la pluie) and Saint-Cyprien in the Pyrénées Orientales. She was soon noticed by art critic Guy Dornand, who arranged for her to stay at the Fondation François Desnoyer in Saint-Cyprien, where she met Menguy and Montané, among others, and organized an exhibition of six young painters at the Galerie Henquez in Paris, where she was invited to show a dozen of her works. She then continued to exhibit in Paris (Galerie Weil in 1978), in the provinces, but also in Côte d'Ivoire, where President Houphouët-Boigny was among her clientele, in Canada, Great Britain and other countries.
